A 'Gatsby' Summer Ball
A boarding school in Kent were recommended Seducebands for their Summer leavers ball as they were looking for a band. They had decided on a ‘Great Gatsby’ theme for the event and were decorating the venue to match this and having a dress code. They therefore wanted a band that could look the part and perform a couple of songs in keeping with the style but go on to play music that would appeal to a wide range of ages - from the 18 year old school leavers through to the parents and teachers.
We therefore provided our themed party band complete with 1920’s flapper and gangster costumes for all the band so that we matched the event. The band performed a couple of Great Gatsby inspired covers to start off the evening in the right style, and then continued with our classic party band sets incorporating all the dance floor favourites mixed with lots of current chart hits to keep all ages happy and a packed dancefloor.
Special requirements of event:
As this event was themed, the band needed to be part of the theme both in look and in sound - the band was therefore dressed to match the Great Gatsby theme and also played a few specially selected songs at the start of their sets to transition smoothly between the theme into general party music.
